Integrate WhatsApp with Bitrix24

Bitrix24 is a CRM and management platform that centralizes deals, tasks and sales automations. ZapZap API is an unofficial, instance-based WhatsApp API, with base https://api.zapzapapi.com and authentication via x-api-key and x-api-secret. By connecting the two, every move of a deal in the Bitrix24 funnel can trigger an automatic WhatsApp message, with no manual intervention. The model is prepaid: R$15 per active number per month, with a welcome credit (subject to the current campaign) so you can test before scaling.

Why connect

A sales team wants every new lead to receive a welcome message on WhatsApp as soon as the deal enters the first stage of the funnel, and a reminder when the deal moves to the proposal stage. With Bitrix24 webhooks configured on the stage change events, each transition fires a call to ZapZap API, which sends the message through the connected number. The salesperson focuses on closing, while the CRM handles the first contact and the follow-up on the channel where the customer replies fastest.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Create the instance and get the keys on ZapZap API

    In the ZapZap API dashboard, provision a number, scan the QR Code on WhatsApp and copy the instanceId, x-api-key and x-api-secret. This number is the one that will send the messages from Bitrix24.

  2. 2

    Open Outbound webhooks in Bitrix24

    In Bitrix24, go to Applications, then Developer resources and click Outbound webhook. Select the event you want, for example ONCRMDEALUPDATE or ONCRMLEADADD, to fire when the deal changes stage.

  3. 3

    Point the webhook to an automation tool

    In the Handler URL field, enter the URL of an intermediate service (such as Make, n8n or your own function) that will receive the Bitrix24 event and translate the deal data into the ZapZap API call.

  4. 4

    Build the call to ZapZap API

    In the automation tool, configure an HTTP POST request to ZapZap API using the deal contact's phone and the message text. Send the x-api-key and x-api-secret headers to authenticate.

  5. 5

    Test with a real deal and monitor

    Move a test deal through the Bitrix24 funnel, confirm the message arrived on WhatsApp and keep track of the sends. Use Bitrix24's Inbound webhooks if you want to record replies back into the CRM.

Example

// ILLUSTRATIVE example: WhatsApp message fired when a stage changes in Bitrix24
// See the real endpoints and fields at https://api.zapzapapi.com/llms.txt

const res = await fetch(
  "https://api.zapzapapi.com/api/v1/{instanceId}/send/text",
  {
    method: "POST",
    headers: {
      "Content-Type": "application/json",
      "x-api-key": process.env.ZAPZAP_API_KEY,
      "x-api-secret": process.env.ZAPZAP_API_SECRET,
    },
    body: JSON.stringify({
      number: "5511999999999",
      text: "Hello! We received your contact and are already taking care of your request.",
    }),
  }
);

const data = await res.json();
console.log(data);

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the official WhatsApp API to integrate with Bitrix24?

No. ZapZap API works through unofficial WhatsApp instances, so you connect a regular number by scanning the QR Code, with no Meta approval process or WABA. That speeds up the implementation inside Bitrix24.

How does Bitrix24 fire the message on the right event?

Bitrix24 uses Outbound webhooks tied to CRM events, such as lead creation or deal update. When the event occurs, it calls your URL, which passes the data on to ZapZap API to send the message. You choose exactly which stages trigger the sending.

How much does it cost to keep this integration running?

The cost is R$15 per active number per month, on the prepaid model. You receive a welcome credit when you create the account, subject to the current campaign, so you can test the Bitrix24 flow before going to production, and you only pay for the numbers you keep connected.

Can I record the customer's replies back in Bitrix24?

Yes. You can use Bitrix24's Inbound webhooks to write information into the CRM from the replies received, creating a complete loop between WhatsApp and the deal record. The exact ZapZap API fields and endpoints are at https://api.zapzapapi.com/llms.txt.

Do I need an intermediary between Bitrix24 and ZapZap API?

In most cases yes, because the Bitrix24 webhook sends the event in its own format, which needs to be converted into the ZapZap API call. Tools like Make or n8n handle that translation without you having to write a server from scratch.
